COATS
We are delighted to see so many children wearing the new Abbeymead reversible jackets.

We have so many of these in school now that children are getting them mixed up with each other. Please could we ask that their name is clearly identified in the pocket or inside the hood pocket. This will help us identify individual ones. If you would like to put the child?s initials neatly onto a discreet part of the coat that will also help us identify owners easily. Could you just double check, today, that your child has their own jacket please. Let the teachers know if they are not and we will arrange for appropriate swaps.

May I also take this opportunity to remind parents that although the weather may seem good when dropping the children off in the morning, that does tend to change through the day. Children need to have their coats in school every day. Thank you for your support in this matter.

HARVEST FESTIVAL
We will be holding our harvest celebrations with the children on 16th October. We are again helping ?The Food Bank? who provide short term emergency food to people in crisis in Gloucester. Food is given as an intervention strategy which allows care professionals, such as Church Pastoral Workers, Health Visitors, Social Services etc. time to put long term measures in place. Since their launch in April 2005 the ?Food Bank? has distributed food to 1,500 people ? that?s 4500 days of food, 15,000 individual meals.

With this newsletter you should receive a leaflet that gives you a little more information about the organisation and a list of food items that you can choose from to send in as donations. The food items need to be in date and undamaged please. Food items can be sent into school from the 9th October. They need to be taken by the children directly to the art area in Year 2. Thank you.

RECEPTION REQUEST
If you have any toy cars that you no longer need please could they be donated to the Reception Suite.
Thank you.

DATA PROTECTION ACT
Please find attached a document that identifies clearly the information we hold and share about your child.

FABS - Yellow Moon Catalogues
The Yellow Moon fundraising catalogues should come home with your child today. All orders are to be made directly with the company, using the ?source code? on the front of the catalogue, so that our school can be identified. We will get up to 25% cash back. Share the catalogue with your neighbours, family and friends to boost orders if you can!

GUITAR TUITION
Just a reminder to parents that Mrs Payne is still absent due to a broken arm. Mr D Meade is taking the lessons until her return. Please ensure that the children bring their instrument in on their lesson day. Thank you.
